How I work
Design and build in the same loop
I ship production React, Next.js and Tailwind on a shadcn component library instead of handing over mockups. The design is done when it runs.
Make the product call in the room
Deactivation logic, alert states, what happens when connectivity drops: I work those out with product owners and engineers, and write the copy while I'm there.
Ticket to prototype in hours
Claude Code and the Figma MCP are part of the daily loop, so the team reviews working behaviour the same day rather than a picture of it.
Experience
Off the clock
Tennis on weekends, usually losing gracefully. Coffee brewing in the mornings, one variable at a time. Dance in the evenings. Longer term I want to keep moving toward design engineering and building new things of my own.
Mental models I keep coming back to: Systems thinking, Gestalt principles, Pareto principle and the 80/20.
